Eyole Lambe, Vice Board Chairman

Background and Education: Mr Eyole Lambe left Cameroon in 1986 to pursue his dreams in the United States, where he attended nursing school support himself through education and later obtained both undergraduate and graduate degrees in economics, specializing in policy and planning, from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts in 1994.

Professional Experience: Eyole worked as a nurse in various healthcare settings across Massachusetts for 14 years. His dedication and hard work in the healthcare sector were commendable, providing him with valuable experience and skills.

Return to Cameroon and Not-for-Profit Work: In the year 2000, he returned to Cameroon and became actively involved in not-for-profit activities collaborating with numerous NGOs both nationally and internationally and contributing significantly to various causes.

Cameroon Opportunities Industrialization Center (COIC): In 2007, he joined the Cameroon Opportunities Industrialization Center (COIC) in Buea. His leadership and financial acumen led to his election as the Board Financial Controller and Treasurer in 2015. Since 2021, Mr. Eyole has been serving as the Vice Board Chairman, playing a crucial role in the organization’s growth and impact.

Center for Economic Development (CED): Mr. Eyole individually founded the Center for Economic Development (CED), headquartered in Buea. The CED focuses on providing rural communities with access to clean drinkable water and promoting forest conservation initiatives and more. This vision and dedication have made a significant difference in the lives of many.

Personal Life: Mr. Eyole is married with five children, all of whom are now grown up and independent. His journey from Cameroon to the USA and back, coupled with his professional and philanthropic achievements, stands as a testament to his resilience, dedication, and commitment to making a positive impact.

Mr. Denis Kumbo, Board Secretary General

Mr. Denis Kumbo has a wide and insightful experience in Corporate Leadership, Programme Management and legal research. He has worked extensively in the areas of Community Development, Programme & Project Management and Corporate Management before engaging as a Legal Associate. He is currently engaged in legal work with interests in Human Rights and Humanitarian law, investment law and Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms among other areas in legal education. Mr. Kumbo has a Master of Law degree (LLM) in International Law and a Bachelor of Law degree (LLB) amongst other postgraduate diplomas in the areas of Political Science (M.Sc.) and Development Studies.

He has been a member of many Management Boards of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon and currently the Executive Secretary in the Board of Directors of the Cameroon Opportunities Industrialization Centre (2021 -2025 tenure). He has experience managing people and technical resources and was the General Manager of the Presbyterian Handicraft Centre (Prescraft), a medium sized private limited company in the Arts and Crafts sector in the NW Region of Cameroon employing 35 full time staff and engaging about 1500 crafts men and women in a fair trade syndicate that markets crafts locally and internationally (pre-dominantly to Europe, USA and Asia) from 2015 to 2020. As a former Executive Secretary in Charge of Development of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, he worked with different international development partner Organizations as well as different international business partners. He has an extensive experience with international partnerships and policy regulations, which include implementation strategies, resources management and partnership development.

He has supervised and managed different programmes and projects in the areas of Advocacy, water and sanitation, vocational training, Gender, capacity development, ICT, Agriculture, poverty alleviation, environment and climate change.

He has travelled widely in Africa, Europe and North America thus making him culturally sensitive with insights to different human perceptions and orientations.

Dr. Kate Tande, Vice Secretary General

Dr. Kate Tande is the current Vice Secretary General of the Cameroon Opportunity Industrialization Centre (COIC), Buea Cameroon. She was born in Bamenda in the North West Region, but hails from the South West region of Cameroon. She attended primary school in Kumba and went on to do secondary education at the Presbyterian Secondary school (PSS) Kumba where she obtained her ‘O’ levels and later ‘A’ levels. She further obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Education-English & Literary Studies from the University of Calabar Nigeria. I then proceeded to the Higher Teacher Training College (ENS) University of Yaounde 1 where I earned a degree in Science of Education. I am also a holder of an M.ED in Educational Psychology and PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Buea. Presently, I am a University lecturer and the Vice Chancellor of the Cameroon Christian University Institute, Bamenda.

Dr Kate Tande is also a member of many psychological associations including the International Society for the Study of Behavioral Development (ISSBD), Pan African Psychological Association (PAPU), Cameroon Psychological Order (CPO) and the Cameroon Psychological Association (CPA). She is also a Peace Builder, Feminist and member of many Women’s organizations.

She has been an interest group member of COIC Buea for more than fifteen years and has served in many committees.

Mr. Ikome William Lifange, Board Adviser

Mr. Ikome William Lifange is a tested professional with a wealth of experience in electrical engineering and business. A lifelong resident of Buea, William has dedicated over five decades to advancing both public and private sectors in Cameroon through his technical prowess and socio-political engagement. His impressive educational background includes national technical certifications and qualifications from the City and Guilds of London Institute. William’s dynamic career features roles such as Director General of LIFA-WILLS Enterprise and a technical service position at SONEL (National Electricity Corporation). In addition to his professional achievements, William has significantly influenced local politics, serving as a municipal councilor and a valuable member of the Cameroon OIC Board. His diverse expertise and unwavering leadership continue to inspire and drive positive change within his community.

Mr. Sam Monono, Finance Controller

Mr Sam Monono has been involved in COIC’s leadership for several years, first of all as Chairperson of the Finance Committee and now he serves on the COIC board as Finance Controller.

He is passionate and experienced in matters of financial control and management. He holds a higher diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing London, Diploma in Counselling with option on finance and entrepreneurship – NIYS – Yaoundé, Bachelor’s degree in Counseling and Differential Psychology, and is currently completing his Master’s degree in Differential Psychology University of Buea .

Sam’s aptitude for financial management and oversight comes from his decades of experience in managing financial and non-financial resources for several institutions, including but not limited to his service to the state as Regional Branch Head for the Young Entrepreneurs Guarantee Fund, South West Region, and Country Director for Hope Outreach International Ministries (HOIM), overseeing the local activities of Hope Academy Nursery and Primary School, Hope Clinic, Hope Secondary School, as well as HOIM’s numerous gospel outreaches, conferences, trainings and camps.

Married with four beautiful boys, Sam’s main passion is youth empowerment and over the years, he has served as a mentor, marriage/relationship counselor and coach to several young people.

Mr Monono’s day-to-day activities with COIC, HOIM and the State have given him the ability to navigate the public sector, work with diverse officials and still hold on to Godly principles.

Top Management

Mme Akom Efite Berryl Ngale – Interim Program Director

Akom Efite Berryl Ngale is a seasoned finance professional with a BSc in Banking and Finance and an MBA in Management and Entrepreneurship (currently in progress) from the University of Buea.

Since joining Cameroon OIC in 2003, she has amassed 21 years of diverse experience across various roles including Secretary, Data Entry Clerk, Program Cashier, Program Accountant, Finance Officer, and Interim Program Director.

For the past 9 years, Mme Berryl has worked tirelessly to uphold the financial health and sustainability of Cameroon OIC, enabling the center to continue its mission of empowering communities and fostering economic development. She has successfully provided materials and defended reports for nine internal and external audit exercises, budget sessions, and interest board meetings.

BOBGA Wilfred DOH, The Interim Training Manager

A holder of a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting. Mr Bobga Wilfred has over 20 years of working experience as a trainer in vocational training specialized in Accounting Secretary-ship, Computerized Accounting and as an Accountant. Married with three children and has served in different functions in most of the training centers in Buea with experience in administration.

Wilfred was employed in COIC on November 2008 as a trainer and has served as the head of department of ICT since 2014 until date. Currently the Accounts Verificator in the Finance department and the Interim Training Manager.

Max Efoe Njoh Nganje, The Human Resource Manager

Max Efoe Njoh Nganje studied Accounting at the University of Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, and has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) since returning to Cameroon in the early 90s. He joined the Cameroon OIC in 1997 as the Finance Officer and served in this role until 2005 when he was promoted to Finance and Administrative Officer, a position he held until 2017. In 2018, he became the pioneer Human Resource Manager. With 28 years of service, Max has been instrumental in managing personnel matters and administrative duties, ensuring the smooth operation and growth of the organization. His exceptional contributions have earned him three national medals (Silver, Silver Guilt, and Gold). Additionally, Max has served as a Municipal Counsellor and First Deputy Mayor, demonstrating his commitment to both the organization and the community.

Carine Ondatess Ochikwa, The Student Service Officer

Carine Ondatess Ochikwa holds a B.A. (Hons.) in English Language and Linguistics from the University of Buea. She joined Cameroon OIC in September 2012 as a Volunteer English Language Instructor. Her dedication and skill quickly saw her rise through the ranks. Appointed temporal English language instructor and Assistant Examination Coordinator in January 2013, she became a Permanent English Language Instructor in September 2014. In July 2017, Carine was promoted to Students Services Officer, a role she continues to excel in today.

As Students Services Officer, she is the go-to person for all trainee-related issues, excluding direct training. Carine has played a pivotal role in revitalizing the admission process, leading to a significant increase in enrolment despite the socio-political crisis in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon.

In May 2024, Carine’s exceptional service was recognized with a Silver Medal from the Ministry of Labour. She also serves as a Regional Councilor in the South West Regional Assembly where she actively promotes community development initiatives.

Henry Nana A.N, Business Manager - Economic Venture Units (EVUs)

Henry Nana Agukwe Njanko is the current force behind Cameroon OIC’s Economic Venture

Units (EVUs). Armed with a BSc in Accountancy from the University of Buea and over 15 years’ experience in finance and accounting, Henry is fluent in English and French. His proficiency spans MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Outlook, and specialized software like Gescopec, Flextra, and Alpha. Henry excels in internal control, cost management, budgeting, auditing, and financial planning.

Henry’s deep understanding of Cameroon’s Tax and Finance Laws, coupled with his expertise in tax calculations, CNPS deductions, and tax compliance, makes him indispensable. His mastery extends to bank operations, credit analysis, portfolio management, and treasure management. Proficient in risk, stock, and cash management, Henry also excels in payroll, inventory, and accounts management under SYSCOHADA and COBAC regulations.

With a distinguished career in microfinance spanning roles from Branch Manager to General

Manager, Henry now serves as the Business Manager of EVUs at Cameroon OIC. His leadership drives economic growth and innovation, ensuring sustainability of COIC’s impactful programs.

Honorine Eri Echike epse Eyong, The Resource
Mobilization and Public Awareness Officer

Honrine Eri Echike epse Eyong holds an MSc in Corporate Communication (2015-2016) and BSc in Journalism and Mass Communication (1997-2002) University of Buea, a Diploma in Sustainable Management of Development Projects (SMDP) (April 2005) from the Pan African Institute for Development (PAID-WA) and a Higher National Diploma in Theater Arts (1997), University of Calabar, Nigeria.

Her commitment to service is evident through her active involvement in various professional and philanthropic organizations, including:

  • Association of Students Journalists, University of Buea (1997-2002)
  • International Association of Students in Economics and Management, University of Buea (1998-2002)
  • Junior Chamber International (JCI) Buea Chapter.
  • Cameroon Association of English-speaking Journalists (CAMASEJ)
  • President of the Devoted Inspired Vibrant and Altruistic Sisters (DIVAS) Buea, a philanthropic group of women.

With over 19 years of steadfast services at the Cameroon OIC, Madam Eyong has served in different capacities as Marketing and Public Relations Officer, Pavilion Supervisor, Intake Counsellor, Job Developer and since June 2024 Resource Mobilization and Public Awareness Officer. Madam Honorine Eyong is an enthusiastic professional with extensive knowledge in Communication, Marketing, and Public Relations. Her ability to work closely with program teams has been crucial in ensuring sustainability and enhancing the organization’s public image.

Heads Of Departments

Dr. Nalowa Delphine, HOD - Agriculture

Mme Nalowa Delphine was employed into COIC- Buea in September 2023 and is the pioneer head of unit for the department of Agriculture. The Department of Agriculture is the youngest of all Departments in COIC-Buea that became operational in September 2023. Dr. Nalowa Lyonga Delphine is an agronomist and Postharvest specialist. She is working in close collaboration with Dr. Awo Enanga a dynamic Aquaculture technician and great Botanist and Mme Elinge Marie (MSc), Agricultural Business tycoon who is in charge of Entrepreneurship (Agribusiness), teaching on prodigious marketing and business agricultural skills. This fledgling and vibrant department is proud to have trained 12 trainees, a blend of hard working girls and boys. After trainee’s completion of studies from this department, he/she can become self-employed and also gain employment with Governmental and NGOs organizations like SOWEDA, CDC, CAREC, Ministry of Agriculture amongst others. With the sharp increase in the number population, this department is upgrading agricultural skills to meet up with food security demands.

Wilson Molua Likeke, HOD - Woodwork, Carpentry and Upholstery

Mr Wilson Molua is a woodworker who has gained experience and expertise over the years. He is happily married. After receiving a certificate for an internship program in 1995, he went on to obtain a diploma in woodwork and SED in 1998. In 2009, Mr Molua was awarded a certificate of dedication from CMF.

In 2013, he was appointed HOD of the Woodwork Department of OIC and in 2015, he was reassigned as Woodworking Instructor. In 2019, Mr Molua was appointed HOD of the Woodwork Department, a position he still holds. In recognition of his hard work, he was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation in Vocational Training in 2020.

Mme Elinge Marie Limunga, HOD Small Enterprise
Development Unit (SED)

The Small Enterprise Development Unit has as aim to impact Entrepreneurial skills to trainees and the community.

Mme Elinge Marie Limunga has served the institution for the past twenty years in the following capacities:

  • Programme Director, 2015-2024
  • Programme Accountant /Bookkeeping Instructor, 2005-2014
  • Administrative and Commercial Officer, 2008 – 2009
  • Administrative Assistant to the Business Manager, 2005-2008

Mme Elinge has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Buea, Bachelor of Sciences (BSc) in Management from the University of Buea, National Vocational Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering and a Certificate in Transformation of TVET and skills development systems in Africa.

Peter Nyoki Ndumbe – Vayoh, HOD - Building Construction,
Plumbing and Electricity

Holding a Diploma in Building Construction, and a certificate in pedagogy he was employed in the year 1999 as an instructor in the Department of Building Construction COIC Buea.

After serving for many years, he was then recommended and appointed the Head of Department (HOD) until date with a strength staff of four other instructors.

Tamegny Alain Bertrand, HOD - Welding & Fabrication

Mr. Bertrand’s journey began with his admission as a trainee in 1993, culminating in a Diploma in Welding and Metal Fabrication in 1995. His exceptional skills and dedication quickly set him apart, leading to his retention as an external consultant.

By 1998, Mr. Bertrand had secured a full-time position, rising through the ranks due to his outstanding service and commitment. Appointed as Assistant Head of the Welding and Fabrication Department, his leadership and tireless efforts earned him the position of interim Head of Department on September 28, 2022. Under his visionary guidance, the department flourished, introducing the innovative Aluminium and Glasswork (AMICO) trade.

Mr. Bertrand’s unwavering dedication and forward-thinking approach continue to drive the department to new heights, ensuring it remains an example of industrial training and development in the region.

Paul Kombe Ikome, HOD - Auto Mechanics and Motor Electricity

Paul Kombe Ikome’s journey at COIC began in 2000 when he graduated from Cameroon OIC Buea. Recognized for his innate talent by the then Head of Department, Njie Mokoto, Paul was swiftly employed upon graduation as an associate member of the department.

After seven years of unwavering commitment, Paul’s diligence paid off as he rose to lead the department. His quest for excellence led him to Douala, where he pursued advanced training at City Maintenance and Equipment (C.I.M.E.Q), in collaboration with WELTWEITE PARTNERS CRAFT in Hamburg, Germany.

In 2019, Paul achieved another significant milestone by earning the National Advanced Diploma in Auto Electricity, emerging as the top performer in the region. Continuously guided by the principles instilled by his mentor, Mr. Mokoto, Paul upholds the standards that define COIC and its esteemed department.

Paul Kombe Ikome embodies dedication, skill, and a steadfast commitment to maintaining excellence in auto electricity at Cameroon OIC. His journey exemplifies the center’s legacy of nurturing top-tier professionals in the automotive industry.

Ngainse Solange, HOD - Textile & Fashion Design Department

Ngainse Solange embarked on her fashion journey with a solid foundation in Technical Education, training at Cameroon OIC Buea in 2012, where she specialized in Textile and Fashion Designing. Her passion and dedication led her back to Cameroon OIC in 2017 as a Teacher in the Textile and Fashion Design Department. Recognized for her exceptional skills and multi-dimensional talents, Solange was promoted to Head of Department in 2022. She has been instrumental in ensuring the department runs smoothly, managing both creative and administrative duties with flair and precision.
